Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most, answered up front

Where is FarWay Stables?

Our stables are at Loosbroekseweg 58, 5388 VP Nistelrode, in the heart of North Brabant in the Netherlands — between Nistelrode and Loosbroek, a short drive from Uden, Oss and 's-Hertogenbosch, and about 90 minutes from Amsterdam. Visits are by appointment, so we have all the time for you.

What kind of horses do you sell?

Three groups: dressage and jumping horses out of our own breeding programme, Quarter Horses for western sport, and American Miniature Horses for show and breeding. We deliberately keep the collection small, so we know every horse inside out.

Can I come and see a horse or take a test ride?

Yes. Viewings and test rides are possible by appointment, seven days a week — Sundays included. Booking that appointment happens Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 18:00: call +31 85 060 38 76, email info@farway-stables.com or use the contact form, and we will plan a moment when we can take our time.

Are the horses clinically vetted?

Horses in our collection are sold with full transparency: vetting reports, X-rays and the horse's history are all on the table. If you would like your own vet to examine the horse, we will of course cooperate.

What does a horse at FarWay Stables cost?

Every horse lists its asking price; for some horses that is 'price on request'. The price depends on pedigree, level of training, age and health. Get in touch — we are open about what a price is based on.

Do you breed your own horses?

Yes, breeding is the heart of FarWay Stables. From a small, carefully composed group of mares with proven dam lines we breed foals every year. Our foals grow up in herds with plenty of turnout.

Can you back and start my young horse?

Yes. We back young horses at their own pace: groundwork and getting used to saddle and girth first, then lungeing in tack, and only once that is calm does a rider sit on for the first time. Client horses are welcome to come in for this, and at the end you ride the first circuits yourself under our guidance. Call +31 85 060 38 76 or email info@farway-stables.com to talk through the options and the planning.

Can my own horse come to you for training?

Yes, we offer training places for client horses too — from basic education through to competition and show support. We work with a small, fixed team so every horse sees a familiar face.

Do you offer purchase guidance?

Yes. We guide riders and parents of young riders through the whole process: from search profile and viewings to clinical vetting and transport. And if our advice is to wait a little longer, we say so honestly.

The horse I am looking for is not in your collection. What now?

Then we start looking. Through our network we broker targeted purchases. Tell us what you are after — discipline, level, budget and character — and we will get to work.

What is the fastest way to reach you?

Calling is fastest: +31 85 060 38 76. We are reachable six days a week, Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00. You can email info@farway-stables.com, and messages sent through the contact form are usually answered within one working day.
